Using this website

Terms of use

The rules for using trythebible.co.uk, in plain words. They are separate from the terms of sale for paid plans and extra credit.

Last updated: 14 October 2026 (version 2026-10-14).

1. Who I am and what these terms cover

These terms apply when you use trythebible.co.uk, including Pastor's Friend, the Plans page and your account. The website is run by me, Alkhadi Koroma, a sole trader, trading as Try The Bible, of Flat 72, Priory Court, 1 Cheltenham Road, London SE15 3BG. You can email me at info@trythebible.co.uk. In these terms “I”, “me” and “Try The Bible” mean me.

By using the website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. If you buy a paid plan or extra AI credit, the terms of sale also apply (see section 10). My privacy policy explains what I do with personal information.

2. The free tools

Reading, comparing, studying and memorising Scripture, the flashcards, the reading plans and rewards, and the manual Pastor's Friend tools (the sermon editor, notes, memory deck and Preaching Mode) are provided free of charge, and you do not need an account to use them. I provide them as they are. I may change, add or withdraw features, or change what is free, at any time.

3. Accounts and signing in

An account is needed only for AI drafting and for keeping copies of your sermons in your account. You must be at least 13 to make one. Give an email address that is yours, keep your password secret, and use a password that you do not use anywhere else (it must be at least 15 characters).

You are responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else has used it, sign out on all devices from the account page and email me straight away. You can delete your account at any time from the same page.

4. Acceptable use

Please use the website fairly. You must not:

  • copy or collect large parts of the website or its database by automated means (scraping, or bulk downloading of Scripture, flashcards or other content), or build a competing copy of it;
  • overload or interfere with the website, or probe or test its security without my written permission (tell me about a security problem instead);
  • get round limits, allowances, sign-in or payment checks, or use someone else's account;
  • put unlawful, abusive or infringing material into the website, or use it for anything unlawful;
  • pretend to be me or another person, or suggest that I endorse you; or
  • sell, license or offer text produced with the AI features to others as a service or product. You can of course use your drafts for your own preaching, teaching and ministry.

Reading the public pages, linking to them and quoting short passages with clear credit is welcome. If you break these terms I may limit or close your access (see section 9).

5. Scripture text and attribution

The Bible text on this website is the Berean Standard Bible (BSB), which was dedicated to the public domain on 30 April 2023, and the World English Bible, Protestant Edition (WEB), which is public domain. I use them under the terms their publishers publish (Berean Standard Bible terms, World English Bible notice). Other translations are not available on this website until they are properly licensed.

When you copy, print or export Scripture from this website, keep the name of the translation with it. “World English Bible” is a trademark of eBible.org and may be used only for faithful copies of the official text, so do not call changed text by that name. The Copyright & Attribution page has the details.

6. Your own content

The sermons, notes, memory items and drafts you write or save are yours, or belong to whoever else owns them. I do not claim ownership of them. You allow me to store them, show them back to you and process them only as far as is needed to run the features you use, including sending text to the AI provider when you choose an AI action, and to keep the service secure.

You are responsible for your content: you must have the right to use it, and it must not break the law or anyone's rights. If I am told that something is unlawful or breaks these terms, I may remove it or close the account.

7. AI drafting

AI drafting produces a draft, which is only a starting point. It can be wrong, incomplete or badly judged, and it can misquote or misapply Scripture. It is not professional, legal, medical, counselling or pastoral advice, and it does not replace your own study, prayer and judgement. Bible quotations in drafts come from this website's own Berean Standard Bible and World English Bible data, not from the AI, but you should still check them.

You must check and correct everything before you use it. You, not I, are responsible for what you preach, publish or tell others. I cannot promise any particular result. Please do not put other people's private or confidential details (for example from someone's counselling) into text you send for AI drafting.

AI drafting needs a verified account and uses an AI allowance (the Plans page explains the rules). It may be limited, changed or withdrawn. The privacy policy explains exactly what is sent to the AI provider.

8. My content and name

The design of the website, its logo, the written guidance and memory hooks, and the software are mine, or used with my permission, and are protected by copyright. The name Try The Bible and the logo identify this website; please do not use them in a way that suggests I have approved you or your product. You may link to public pages and quote brief portions with clear credit. For anything more, ask me first. Bible text, artwork and other third-party material belong to their owners; see the Copyright & Attribution page.

9. Availability, changes and ending

I aim to keep the website running, but I cannot promise that it will always be available, free of mistakes or free of interruption. I may suspend, limit or close access for maintenance, for security, to stop abuse, or if the law requires.

Keep your own copy of anything important. Pastor's Friend lets you export a backup of your sermons, and Preaching Mode needs you to prepare for offline use before you rely on it without a connection. Links to other websites are for convenience, and I am not responsible for them.

You can stop using the website at any time and delete your account. I may close an account if you break these terms, and I will tell you why unless the law stops me. What happens to money you have paid is in the terms of sale.

11. My responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits my responsibility for death or personal injury caused by my negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that the law does not allow me to limit. If you are a consumer, your legal rights are not affected by these terms.

Subject to that:

  • I am responsible only for loss or damage that was a reasonably foreseeable result of my breaking these terms or of my negligence;
  • if you use the website for business purposes, I am not responsible for loss of profit, revenue, business or goodwill; and
  • the free parts of the website are provided as they are, so I am not responsible for what you do with a draft or with anything else you find here.

12. Changes to these terms

I may update these terms. The date and version at the top show the latest one, and a change applies from when it is published here. If you keep using the website after a change, you accept the new terms. A change to a paid plan follows the terms of sale.

13. Law and contact

These terms, and any dispute about the website, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can decide any dispute. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring a claim in the courts where you live.

To contact me, email info@trythebible.co.uk, call or message me on 07467 437 773, or write to Alkhadi Koroma, Flat 72, Priory Court, 1 Cheltenham Road, London SE15 3BG.
