Memorise Scripture by singing it

Sing a verse along with its song: each time you play it, more of the words disappear, until you know it by heart. You can also read and compare the Berean Standard Bible (BSB) and World English Bible (WEB), and prepare sermons with Pastor's Friend.

John 10:11 · BSB

"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep."

Every verse you memorise is a way of knowing His voice more closely — the way sheep learn to know and trust their shepherd's voice above every other. This is the heart behind this entire site.

Preparing a sermon? Meet Pastor's Friend

Prepare from the same Bible text you read and memorise. The manual tools are free; AI drafting is an optional extra.

Free

Sermon templates and editor, notes linked to verses, the Sermon Memory Deck, Preaching Mode and backups of your work. What you write stays on your device unless you choose otherwise.

Optional AI drafting

AI drafts are starting points for you to review. Bible quotations come from the site's approved text, not from the AI.

Verified accounts can start one free AI trial: 14 days, or until £1.50 of AI drafting is used, whichever comes first. No card needed. Nothing renews or converts to a paid plan automatically.

Paid plans from £9 a month are planned. Purchase is not available yet.

Help open God's Word in more translations

Many people first met Scripture in a translation they still love. Today Try The Bible offers two public-domain Bibles, the Berean Standard Bible and the World English Bible. Other widely read translations are protected, and we may only show them with each publisher's written permission. We are asking publishers for that permission now.

Your partnership can help meet licence costs and the careful work of adding each translation, so that a grandmother can memorise the Psalm she grew up with, a young believer can read in the words their church uses, and a pastor can prepare in the translation they preach from.

We will publish confirmed costs and progress as agreements are secured. If a publisher says no, we will tell you.

"Each one should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not out of regret or compulsion. For God loves a cheerful giver."

Questions people ask

Is it free to use?

Reading, comparing and the flashcards are free, with no account and no time limit. The manual Pastor's Friend tools are free too. AI drafting is optional. Verified accounts can start one free AI trial: 14 days, or until £1.50 of AI drafting is used, whichever comes first. No card needed. Nothing renews or converts to a paid plan automatically.

Which Bible editions are available?

The Berean Standard Bible (BSB) and the World English Bible, Protestant Edition (WEB). Both are in the public domain. Other translations are not offered until they are properly licensed. The Copyright and Attribution page has the details.

What does Pastor's Friend AI do?

It writes a draft of a sermon, or of one section, as a starting point for you to check and change. Bible quotations in a draft come from this site's own BSB and WEB text, not from the AI. AI drafting needs a verified account and uses an AI allowance (the Plans page explains how). The privacy policy says exactly what is sent to the AI provider.

How do paid plans and refunds work?

Paid plans are planned, and purchase is not available yet.

What happens to my information?

Your learning progress is saved in your own browser and is not uploaded. If you make an account, the privacy policy explains what is kept, why, for how long and who else handles it.

Is there an app?

Not yet. An Android and iPhone app is coming soon, with no release date. The website works today at trythebible.co.uk.
