Access for everyone
Accessibility
Our approach to making Bible reading, memorisation and progress tools easier to use across devices and access needs.
Statement updated: 21 August 2026
Our commitment
We want Try The Bible to be usable by as many people as possible. We aim to follow WCAG 2.2 Level AA principles where practical, but the website has not yet undergone a formal independent accessibility audit.
Accessibility built into the website
- Responsive layouts that adapt to phones, tablets and larger screens.
- Semantic page headings, descriptive link text and labelled navigation controls.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images, with decorative images hidden from assistive technology.
- Support for the reduced-motion preference so non-essential animation is removed.
- Readable text sizing, clear grouping and strong foreground/background colour combinations.
- Core navigation and standard links that can be used from a keyboard.
Known limitations and ongoing work
Some interactive study tools depend on JavaScript and local browser storage. We are continuing to review keyboard focus, screen-reader labels, status messages and text alternatives across the flashcard, roadmap and rewards experiences.
Third-party fonts or icons may fail to load on restrictive networks, but the main written content and navigation should remain available.
Tell us about an accessibility problem
If something prevents you from reading Scripture, completing an activity or navigating the site, tell us which page you were using and what went wrong. We will use that information to guide improvements and provide the content in another reasonable format where possible.
